Press Release: Tan Sri Dato' Lim Soon Peng Launches "Love and Care Charitable Association Selangor"

PETALING JAYA, 11 APRIL 2015 – Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Lim Soon Peng, Founder and Group Managing Director ofTitijaya Land Berhad, today launched the Love and Care Charitable Association Selangor.  The mission of the charitable organisation is

1. to promote activities by a loving community, letting the poor know they are cared for thus creating a harmonious society.
2. to awaken public awareness of the poor and marginalized in society who are in need of proper meals.
3. to get the next generation of the rich to become volunteers and experience the life of the poor thus appreciating the good life they are now enjoying.
4. to help reduce social problem using contributions in money and effort from those who are able.
5. to recycle and reuse food so as to reduce food wastage and appreciate what we have.

It is one of Tan Sri Lim’s life philosophies to always help those less fortunate wherever and whenever possible.  It is because of this philosophy that Tan Sri Dato’ Lim always ensures that the principal and practice of understandingand supporting the needs of the societyarealways seeded in all his business and life goals.

The association will be delivering cooked meals on a daily basis seven (7) days a week on their mobile trucks across locations inKlang, Port Klang and Pandamaran.

“We aspire to raise at least RM1 million in funds for this charitable organisation in order to be sustainable and to assist the people in need within our society. So far, we have received support from a number of corporations and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their generosity.We will be approaching other corporates and businesses to contribute to the organisation” commented Tan Sri Dato’ Lim.

“I truly believe that we as a people will need to help oneanother in times of need for the betterment of the society as a whole. Assistance can come in many formse.g.food, money, education, shelter and many others. These are basic human necessities, which in my opinion, nobody should be living without. In addition to raising funds, we will also be approaching restaurants and F&B outlets to support us by giving surplus food that would otherwise be wasted. I really hope that this initiative will deliver positive results and changes to our society and contribute towards the elimination of neglect and poverty” concluded Tan Sri Dato’ Lim.
